Terms and conditions of purchase

1. Your purchase is made on the basis of the terms outlined here in full. They may not be modified or altered in any way.
2.  Your purchase is governed by the Laws of Queensland. Each party unconditionally submits to the jurisdiction of the State of Queensland, Australia only.
3.  You warrant that the details you provide for the purposes of this web site are correct.
4. If you are acting on behalf of a company or as an agent you warrant that you have actual authority to enter into this agreement. You indemnify all actions against UQ if it is found that you do not have the required authority.
5. By entering this site and this agreement you give your express approval for the UQ to obtain information required to complete your purchase.
6. The UQ will treat as private any information that you submit in the course of your dealings with the UQ through the web site in accordance with the Privacy and Security Statement. The UQ will not deal with your provided information except as is required to process your order and purchase and as UQ is otherwise required to deal with your information as required by law.
7. You accept by proceeding to UQPay to the cost, indicated as the "Invoice Total" figure, in Australian Dollars (AUD) as is outlined in the "Tax Invoice".
8. Your selection of item/s that you have identified on the "Shopping Cart" facility is at law considered to be an invitation to treat. An offer is constituted, on the terms outlined in this statement, on the basis of your selection and the indicated total purchase price. Your acceptance will be indicated by you clicking on the "UQPay" button. By clicking the "UQPay" you indicate your intention to accept these terms and conditions as part of your order and purchase.
9. Once your acceptance is communicated to UQ you will be required to complete the transaction by authorising UQ, through a credit card payment service facility provided by the ANZ Bank to debit your account according to the stipulated price in the "Tax Invoice".
10.  Any taxes that apply to this transaction are those that would apply to the transaction as if it were conducted in the State of Queensland, Australia.
11.  UQ accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss whether caused directly or indirectly through the use of this web site or through contracting with UQ over the Internet. You agree to assume the full risk of contracting with UQ over the Internet and indemnify UQ for any and all losses you incur.
12.  UQ accepts no liability whatsoever for any actions by third parties that interfere with this transaction. You acknowledge that technical difficulties may interfere with the operation of this transaction and assume this risk in accepting this offer.
13.  UQ will make every effort to fulfill all orders, however UQ does not accept liability for delays occasioned by our suppliers.
14.  If any provision of these terms and conditions is deemed to be illegal, invalid, void or voidable, the validity of the remainder of the terms and conditions will not be affected and will continue to be in force and have effect.
