CBIT Online Shop User Guide

Search – The search function allows items to be searched for by specific or partial words. Once a search is completed, a list of items that match the search criteria will be returned.

Left Side Menu

Home – This link will take you back to the home page of the CBIT Online Shop at any time.

View Cart – This will display the items currently in your shopping cart. From here you can change the quantity of an individual item or remove items from your shopping cart. Once you’re happy with the contents of your shopping cart, click the “Final Check Out” button which will take you to the check out section for completing your order.

Help – The Help section contains information on how to purchase products through this UQ on-line shop and The University of Queensland’s Privacy Statement and Terms and Conditions for using the online shop.

Shop Categories

Products are organised into categories under the Products sub heading in the left hand side menu. Selecting a category displays a summary of the products available within that category. Detailed information on a particular product can be obtained by clicking on the item name or thumbnail picture.

An Overview of the shopping process

Products can be added to the shopping cart by clicking the “Add To Cart” button at the product list page or product details page. For example:

Check Out

Once you are satisfied with the products and quantities that are contained within your shopping cart, proceed to the final check out by clicking the “Final Check Out” button at the shopping cart page.

Once in the check out area, the next step is to calculate the postage cost. To do this the country to where the goods will be shipped needs to be selected from the list of countries displayed. If the goods are to be shipped within Australia then a valid Australian post code will need to be entered.

Next click the “Calculate Postage Cost” button. The postage cost will be automatically calculated and the order totalled.

If the destination country is not Australia, then GST will be removed for all items. The postage cost, however, will include GST.

Once the correct postage cost has been calculated for the correct destination, select the “Submit” button where the payment transaction will be completed on a secure site. Please note that no credit card details are keep by the on-line shop. All transactions are processed straight through to the bank.
